ILLUSTRATION

Occasionally, Erik will use his free time to explore different avenues in design. Typically, this begins by sketching and illustrating. It's the quickest way to explore the many outcomes a project could manifest itself. In rare instances, the illustrations will present themselves as strong enough to be used as the final design.

The client provided the image and the hardware that'll be used to put the chair together. The client requested that the image be broken into the parts that the consumer would have to put together.

Vortex energy drink

Vortex is a very early packaging concept. The goal was to envision a completely new brand of drink that would be sold in stores.

This project demonstrates the creative capacity Erik can accomplish from start to finish with no direction, just a goal.

Sketches | Mood board

Occasionaly, Erik will have free time and motivation to sketch at random. Sometimes, he challenges himself to create an identity from a word or adjective.

Sketches | Quake on the Lake

When starting a brand new identity, Erik typically starts by drawing out preliminary concepts before even going to the computer.

Sketchbook Pro® Studies

At times, Erik enjoys trying new techniques using his Wacom tablet. He is a big proponent of using the latest technology.
